Kirtishsing Jawaheer, durant la période qu’il était en poste comme maire contrairement à ce qui a été publié dans la presse.

Les allégations formulées ne sont pas fondées et prêtent à confusion.

En tant qu’organisme  responsable, le Conseil observe toutes les exigences légales et financières pour l’approvisionnement des biens et des services.

1. Scope of contract:
The works consist of the Construction of Drains and Gutters and related works in the Township of Vacoas-Phoenix.

2. Estimated cost:
The estimated cost of the project is Twenty Five Million, Two Hundred and Twenty Thousand rupees (Rs 25,220,000), inclusive of a contingency sum of Three Hundred Thousand rupees (Rs 300,000) and 15% Value Added Tax.

3. Funding Agency:
Municipal Council of Vacoas-Phoenix

4. Procurement method used:
Bids were advertised through open advertised bidding on a national basis through local newspapers. The bids could also be obtained free of charge from the website www.vacoasphoenix.org and www.ppo.gov.mu

5. Date of Invitation of bids:
Bids were advertised on the 10th January 2011.

6. Closing date for submission of bids:
The closing date for the submission of bids was 17th February 2011 at 13.30 hrs.

7. Date and place of opening of bids:
The bids were opened on the 17th February 2011, physically, in the presence of bidders in the Conference Room, Central Procurement Board, First Floor, Social Security House, Julius Nyerere Avenue, (Ex Moka Road), Rose-Hill at 14.00 hrs.

8. Number of bids received by closing date:
In all, six bids were received by the closing date.

AVIS AUX PROPRIETAIRES DE TERRAINS VAGUES

Afin d’améliorer la propreté de la ville de Vacoas-Phoenix les propriétaires, occupants ou autres personnes ayant droit sur les terrains vagues ou bâtiments délabrés se trouvant dans les limites de la ville sont avisés qu’ils doivent impérativement nettoyer leur/s terrain/s ou démolir leurs bâtiment délabrés dans un délai de quinze jours (15) à partir de la date de ce communiqué

A défaut, les contrevenants vont être sanctionner.

Le conseil se réserve aussi le droit de nettoyer les terrains vagues dans un état d’abandon et qui sont souvent convertis en dépotoirs où sont entassés détritus, carcasses de véhicules etc. et les frais encourus seront réclamés aux propriétaires/occupants ou autres ayants droit.

Le public est informé qu’un service de voirie spécial sera mis à leur disposition contre paiement de trois cent roupies afin d’enlever toute ordure encombrante de leurs propriétés.

This is to notify that, following the bidding exercise carried out by the Municipal Council of Vacoas-Phoenix for the procurement of the works known as the Construction of a Multi storey Building at Vacoas, the contract has been awarded to Messrs Chang Cheng Esquares Co. Ltd of 112, Corner Sodnac and Des Tulipes Avenue, Quatres Bornes for the sum of Rupees one hundred and thirty three million five hundred and ninety one thousand four hundred and forty six and cents twenty five only (Rs 133,591,446.25).

Your attention is drawn to the fact that your trade premises will be inspected now and then by the Municipal Inspectorate regarding compliance with conditions laid down in Building and Land Use Permit as well as other sanitary norms pertaining to the activity being carried out by you.
It is in your interest that you comply with all relevant conditions failing which appropriate action will be initiated against you.

COLLECTION OF GREEN WASTES

The inhabitants residing within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Council of Vacoas/Phoenix are hereby informed that special services are provided for the collection of green wastes of an approximate volume of above half a lorry load. For this purpose trailers/lorries are provided upon payment of a sum of Rs 300.00 per lorry trip.
A request should be made to the Health and Environment Department for such collection. After a date and time for collection is agreed upon, such request will be confirmed after the abovementioned payment is made.
Please kindly be informed that the above collection service refers to only green wastes and does not include rocks, soil, construction wastes and any other inorganic wastes such as metallic wastes.

COLLECTION OF DEAD ANIMAL

The inhabitants residing within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Council of Vacoas/Phoenix are hereby informed that a special service is provided for the collection of dead animal carcass (e.g dead dog).
Request for such collection can be made by telephone on the following numbers:
